- Growing at Mill Creek
It has been a blessing for me to walk alongside the football, basketball and baseball programs, but the key to building a lasting ministry is to thrive on multiplication. This year we have ventured into other sports with the help of some crucial volunteers. We have an amazing huddle with the 9th grade cheerleaders/track. We have two volunteers walking alongside the Boys Varsity Lacrosse, and pictured below, we are blessed to be walking beside and teaching character to the golf team this year. The impact of these volunteers is what truly makes the mission of NG3 thrive. Having people in the community who are willing to step up and build relationships, as well as pour into the next generation is so awesome to be a a part of. Thank you to all the volunteers that are coming alongside me and answering the call to be a mentor to these students. The impact is priceless..
- Walking beside
There are so many things about being an NG3 director at a High school and in a community that is a blessing. One of those things that sticks out the most around this time of year is the walk or presence that you have with these students. We are blessed to walk beside and mentor these young men and women as they navigate their journeys. This time of year, the seniors are winding down this part of their journey and heading to the next. This is when we as directors reflect on the time that we have spent with these seniors and how blessed we are that God put us in their lives. Pictured below, are three of my seniors that will be graduating in a couple of months. I have loved getting to know these three and have been blown away by their unbelievable spirits, beautiful hearts, and unwavering toughness. They inspire me. I know these three will be successful in whatever they do and hope that I have made an impact of them like they have on me. Seeing this transition is definitely one of the tough parts of what we do, but also is an unbelievable blessing as well!
