NG3 School Director - Archer High School

My name is Leslie Mitchem and I am a lifelong resident of Georgia. I grew up in Evans, GA and I now live in Monroe, GA with my husband Alex and our two amazing boys Fisher, 19 and Caleb, 17. I graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1996 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and received my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 1999. My 25 years in education has included teaching Pre-K for 3 years, Kindergarten for 16, and First Grade for the last 6 years at Cooper Elementary. I absolutely love teaching. I am very passionate about my students and helping them to grow into lifelong learners. They mean the world to me, and I feel blessed to able to work with them every day. Mentoring and sharing God’s word with others has always brought me joy. When I first learned about NG3, I knew I had to become a volunteer. Alison Ray and I lead a Core group each week. I look forward to getting together with the girls and sharing God’s word. It has become one of the best parts of my week. I have seen firsthand the impact it has had on people’s lives including my own two sons. I am grateful to be a part of NG3, it’s such an amazing organization. I am looking forward to seeing where God leads us.
